PPGT-BP Used Engine Oil Distillation Plant
The plant operates a multi-stage vacuum distillation process — the same core technology used by leading global base oil producers. Used oil enters the system and is progressively separated by boiling point under vacuum conditions, removing:
- → Water & light hydrocarbons (dehydration stage)
- → Heavy residues & sludge (pre-treatment)
- → Sulphur, nitrogen & aromatics (hydro-finishing)

Re-refined base oil is blended with EELQMS-approved additive packages to produce LUBRINOL engine oils, HYDRONOL hydraulics, GEAROL gear oils, and LITHEX greases — all API-certified, all made in Kinshasa.
Every litre of used oil processed by LRI GROUP's Kinshasa facility prevents harmful chemicals from entering DRC's waterways and soil — while producing a premium lubricant that would otherwise be 100% imported.
